Big John's PFI and Pacific Food Importers are happy to introduce Maestri Olive Oils to our customers. This delicious single-source Sicilian olive oil is a new staff favorite. The all-purpose olive oil has big olive notes, but is lusciously mild and buttery - fruity with a long, long finish. It also has a terrific smell, both in and out of the pan. This is the reasonably-priced all-purpose Italian extra virgin olive oil we've been waiting for.

In addition to the all-purpose olive oil, we also are carrying Maestri organic unfiltered extra virgin olive oil, in one-liter glass bottles. The all-purpose oil comes in three different sizes: three-liter cans, one-liter cans and, a new and happy twist, half-liter cans. This last little can is the perfect size for gift baskets or travel.

Maestri Olive Oils are produced by the same folks who brought us Maestri Pastas. Delicious stuff!

Recommended Uses for Maestri Olive Oils: great for cooking and finishing, this is also good for vinaigrettes and bread dipping. This oil is mild enough for your homemade mayonnaise and yet rich enough for your most ambitious Mediterranean dishes.
