Cheese of the week: Pecorino Mugello Antico

This is a wonderful Tuscan sheep cheese. Not a hard pecorino ("pecorino" simply means "sheep cheese") or particularly salty. This one has a medium sharpness and a pleasant tang, which is intensified by the tomato that's brushed on the rind early in the cheese's life. One of our faves!

Just Arrived! Larkhaven sheep and goat cheeses!

Absolutely delightful local cheeses from Larkhaven Farms in the Okanogan Valley. These are made from raw milk and are bursting with flavor and have really nice texture. You need to come in and try these.

We have Shepherd's Gem, Cayuse Mountain Goat, Rosa Rugosa and Sunrise Goatling.

Back at LAST! Baci! Baci! Baci!

These wonderful Italian chocolates, crammed full of hazelnuts are PFI favorites. We've been out of them for a while and we could tell by your dejected looks that you needed us to fix that. We have. Baci are in stock, in many pack sizes for your chocolate satisfaction! Come and get 'em while supplies last.

D'arbo Elderflower syrup is light, floral and delicious. Try the mystery cocktail (submitted by a customer):

MYSTERY COCKTAIL

1 part gin
1 part dry vermouth
1 part D'arbo Elderflower Syrup
1/2 part lime juice

Shake with ice and strain. Enjoy.

The number of recipes is mind-boggling.

Busha Browne delivers some big, big flavor. Their jellies and sauces are spicy and fun. Spicy Fruit Chutney, Hot Pepper Jelly, Twice-boiled Guava Jelly, Lime Pepper Jelly, Ginger Pepper Jelly, Burned Orange Marmalade, Hot Pepper Pukka Sauce and Spicy Jerk Sauce. Every one of these works as both a condiment or something new to cook with. Also they have a great Jerk seasoning rub.

RED ALERT, Pistachio Delight Fans!!!!!
We brought cut-to-order Pistachio Delight back. This is sort of a test. We carried this for many years and it didn't sell as well as we thought it should.

So this is the thing: if it doesn't sell this time, it's not coming back. We know from that people love this stuff in theory (we know that from the hungdog looks we got while it was out-of-stock).

Tell your friends. If you love Pistachio Delight you'll need to buy it to keep it in stock.
